At first glance, the role of the leader in the gang is occupied by the eldest brother Arthur, but in reality, the key decisions are made by the third of the brothers, Thomas Shelby. He is not just a charismatic leader, but also a strategist who strives to turn the family business into a legitimate business, seeing this as a path to real power and a sustainable future. Thomas acts prudently, demonstrating incredible resilience and intelligence against the backdrop of ever-growing problems.

Each new season of the series increases the drama and tension, throwing the characters into a whirlpool of increasingly serious tests. On their way there are not only competitors from the criminal world, such as the police and other criminal clans, but also unexpected enemies: Russian entrepreneurs entangled in their intrigues, representatives of the Italian mafia and even fascist politicians.
