By using the Wikiserial website (also known as wikiserial.org), whether by reading, editing, adding, or deleting content, you agree to these rules, undertake to abide by them, and to stay informed of updates.

About the Community

Wikiserial.org is a non-profit online project organized for the purpose of creating, storing, updating, editing, and organizing information about various top-rated television series and popular film franchises that have aired on television or online. There are numerous small fan communities associated with various series, created on free hosting services. Typically, one such community corresponds to one series. The "Wikiserial" project has the ability to create a constantly expanding and updated database of an indefinite number of TV series and film franchises, excluding those that are unrated or simply of no interest to the audience.

TV Series

The "TV Series" section contains pages dedicated to TV series, corresponding to the internal structure of the site. Each series has its own category, a card with key information, and a list of episodes. When creating or editing TV series pages, please adhere to templates designed for standardization and ease of navigation.
The "TV Series" section is the foundation of the entire Wikiserial project. It contains pages dedicated to popular television and online projects.

Each article about a series describes its general information, seasons, episodes, characters, actors, and creators.

This section helps users quickly find the materials they need and navigate the vast world of modern TV series. The purpose of this section is not simply to list projects, but to provide a systematic overview of each universe and its elements.

Film Franchises

A film franchise is a series of films or television series united by a common plot, characters, or theme. The "Film Franchises" section is designed to organize such projects: from cult blockbusters to little-known but interconnected films. This section helps you see the entire chain of films within a single universe and trace the development of key characters, ideas, and plotlines. The most popular franchises with spinoff or continuation series are also presented in the "TV Series" section on the Home page.

Individual Community Organization Principles

One of the key goals during the project's development was to keep the site's URL as short as possible.

Any TV series can be found using a conventional link of the form "domain/TV Series," without subdomains or unnecessary URL entities like "/wiki/" or "/index.php?title=."

Advertising

Advertising for third-party commercial projects and companies is only permitted on the Main Page. Advertising is not permitted on other pages, as it would contradict the non-commercial, fan-driven nature of the project.

Site Administration and Moderation

Administration is performed by users with administrator rights.
Administrators have the right to:
1. Monitor compliance with site rules;
2. Monitor site performance;
3. Assign administrators, interface administrators, moderators, and engineers;
4. Restrict user rights;
5. Block and unblock users who violate the rules;
6. Delete pages that violate the rules;
7. Edit site rules;
8. Change the page protection level (edit, rename, delete);
9. Patrol edits.
Administrators can also create, rename, and edit any pages as regular users.

Moderators exercise their rights within the sections assigned to them:
1. Monitor compliance with the rules in their Sections;
2. Block and unblock violators;
3. Delete pages that violate the rules;
4. Patrol edits.

Ideological Task of Users with Extended Rights

Users with extended rights (administrators, moderators, engineers) bear not only technical but also intellectual responsibility for the project's development. They maintain order, help new members get started, and monitor content quality and compliance with the rules. The primary goal of these users is not to "control," but to help, guide, and teach. These users act as mentors, fostering a culture of mutual respect, objectivity, and open knowledge sharing. Extended rights are, first and foremost, a sign of community trust, not a privilege.

List of Rights of Different User Groups

Administrator — full control over the functionality, rights, and security of the site.
Moderator — monitoring content and enforcing rules in assigned sections.
Engineer — maintaining technical aspects (CSS, JS, templates, structure).
User — creating and editing articles, discussions, and adding media files.
Guest — viewing content without editing.

Each level of access represents a level of responsibility. As rights increase, so do the demands on correct behavior and competence.

Behavior

Wikiserial encourages open, respectful, and friendly communication. When discussing articles, users express opinions correctly, without resorting to personal attacks, and with due consideration for all participants. Discussions should lead to improved article quality, not to controversy. The primary goal is consensus and mutual respect.

What can lead to a ban without warning

The Wikiserial website is intended exclusively for working with materials related to TV series. Discussions of religious, political, and other sensitive topics are prohibited.

List of unacceptable behavior:

The following is highly discouraged on discussion pages:

1. Empty messages ("Hello," "Ok," "How are you," etc.);
2. Using CAPITAL letters to express emotion (except for abbreviations);
3. Intentional misspellings, use of "scumbag jargon";
4. Excessive repetition of characters ("Hurray!");
5. Spam and off-topic messages that are not related to the topic of discussion.
Such comments may be deleted without warning.

The following is strictly prohibited on the website:
1. Profanity, insults, trolling, hating;
2. Threats, bullying, ridicule, discrimination;
3. Calls for violence, hatred, discrimination, genocide;
4. Propaganda of extremism, separatism, terrorism;
5. Calls for suicide, theft, hacking, etc.;
6. Distribution of pirated software and unlicensed materials;
7. Pornographic content (including animation, hentai);
8. Dissemination of information about crimes against minors;
9. Advertising drugs, methods of their production or sale;
10. Slander and false information about people and characters;
11. Promotion of illegal services, trade Documents and counterfeit goods.

Important! The restrictions in this section do not prohibit discussion of TV series plots. Descriptions of scenes of violence or other actions are permitted if they are part of the narrative and do not go beyond the artistic context.

Penalty Scale and Appeal

Level 1 — Minor violations (flooding, off-topic): message deletion + warning.
Level 2 — Serious violations (insults, intentional disinformation): temporary blocking (1–30 days).
Level 3 — Serious violations (underage pornography, calls for terrorism): immediate blocking and removal of content; possible referral to law enforcement.

Appeal: Users can file an appeal on the Discussion page or by email at agent@wikiserial.org. Appeals are reviewed within 14 calendar days.

Punishments and Rewards

The Wikiserial project's punishment system is not intended to be punitive, but rather to maintain a healthy atmosphere. The goal of moderation is not to block users, but to help them understand the rules and adjust their behavior. For minor violations, users are warned and given the opportunity to improve. Repeated or intentional violations may result in temporary bans. Severe and systematic violations result in permanent account bans.

At the same time, there is a reward system: active users who create high-quality articles, participate in patrols, and help other participants can receive thanks from the administration and additional benefits (for example, extended rights or WIKIS tokens as a bonus). The project is built on the principle that every contribution to the site's development is valuable.

Collaboration

The Wikiserial project is open to collaboration with thematic communities, blogs, translation groups, journalists, and film industry enthusiasts. The main condition is compliance with the project's principles: neutrality, respect for copyright, and conscientious treatment of sources. We are open to proposals for partnerships, content exchange, reciprocal publications, and other forms of collaboration. All inquiries are accepted via private message to the administration or by email at agent@wikiserial.org. Any partnership must be aimed at enriching content and developing the community, and not for commercial gain.

Authorship and Licensing

Materials posted by users remain their intellectual property. By publishing material on the website, the author grants Wikiserial a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to store, publish, and adapt the material, with mandatory attribution. By default, content is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, unless otherwise expressly stated.
When copying materials from Wikiserial, attribution is required.
By adding external content, the user confirms that they do not infringe copyright.

Editing and Formatting Site Materials

This section provides guidelines for article formatting.
Each user can edit any page (except for service pages, CSS/JS pages, and protected pages).
When creating and editing materials, please adhere to the following rules:
1. Use page templates provided for series, episodes, characters, etc. Creating your own templates is prohibited.
2. Before creating a new page, be sure to review existing materials. Duplicates are not allowed.
3. Do not copy text from third-party sources (copy-pasting is prohibited).
4. Present the material neutrally, without subjective evaluations or emotions.
5. Avoid colloquialisms, slang, and jargon.
6. Check the relevance and reliability of information; add sources if necessary using <ref> and <references/>.
7. Check spelling and punctuation before publishing.
8. Each page must be categorized. Series pages written in different languages must contain an additional language category (e.g., "Русскоязычная версия Wikiserial," "English version of Wikiserial," etc.). An incorrect language category will result in the sidebar menu not displaying correctly.

Creating and Renaming Pages

Site users are free to create new pages within the project's scope and subject to the general design and content rules. When creating a page, a user is responsible for ensuring its name is correct, its content is relevant to the topic, and that it does not duplicate existing content.

The page renaming feature is not available to all users. Renaming can affect the site's structure, navigation, internal and external links, and edit history. Therefore, only experienced users or administrators are authorized to rename pages. If a page author believes the name is poorly chosen or requires correction, they can contact the administration via the discussion page or other established means.

Some pages on the site have a special status and are protected from editing and renaming due to their importance to the project. These pages include, in particular, the Main Page, service pages, system messages, and other technical sections. Any changes to such pages are possible only by the administration and only if there is a justified need.

Wiki Markup Syntax

Wiki markup is a markup language designed to simplify the organization of text content on web pages and interaction with HTML. Using wiki markup, a document's structure is created, which is then converted into HTML format for correct display in a browser. This conversion is performed by specialized software called a wiki engine.

To prevent the average website user from having to enter HTML tags in the page editing field each time, this particular markup is used to format the text.
For example, to start text on a new line, HTML uses the

tag, but to avoid having to write it each time, you can use a colon at the beginning of a new line

Built-in Wiki Text Editor

The MediaWiki editor allows you to format text using the buttons above the editing field.

Use them to insert links, templates, tables, and formatting without manually entering markup.

You can switch to source code mode if needed.

Article Translator

You can use Google Translate to translate texts, but proper names, dates, and local terms should be checked manually.

Pay special attention to translations into right-to-left languages (e.g., Arabic). Before publishing, it is recommended to perform a reverse translation to ensure the text is correct.

Copy-paste

Copying other people's materials without reworking them is strictly prohibited. Wikiserial values the personal contribution of its users—uniqueness, style, and originality of presentation.

Copy-paste reduces the value of the project and may result in deletion of the page and blocking of the offender.

Personal Opinion of the Article Author

Articles do not allow personal statements such as "I think," "it seems to me," or "in my opinion." The presentation must be objective, neutral, and factual.

Ultimate Truth

Any article can be edited by other users. Neither the administrator's nor the author's opinion is considered the "only correct" one.

In the event of a dispute, a page may be temporarily protected until a consensus is reached.

Spelling and punctuation errors

Errors are not grounds for condemnation. Any user can correct them during patrol.

However, systematically ignoring spellchecking may result in a temporary ban.

Well-formatted texts improve a site's ranking in search engines.

Replacing Cyrillic with Latin

Replacing Cyrillic letters with Latin letters, or Latin letters with Cyrillic, is prohibited.
Example of a violation:

Such cases are considered malicious – pages are deleted, users are blocked.

Article Paragraph Formatting

Article text is automatically justified. Modifying the default style is not allowed, for example:

Wikiserial ID

Each celebrity (actor, director, producer, etc.) is assigned a unique "Wikiserial ID"—similar to an IMDb ID.
Example: 0000001—Johnny Depp.
The ID is assigned by the administrator and stored in the database. Unauthorized ID changes are prohibited.
In the event of a dispute, the interested party may submit their complaint to the administrator of the project via private messaging.

"Plot" Section

The plot sections may contain spoilers. The reader is warned that this section may reveal key moments from the series.
Descriptions of events are brief and without emotional judgment.

"Discussion" Section

This section is intended for a constructive exchange of opinions. Flames, trolling, and personal attacks are prohibited. In the event of a conflict, the administrator may temporarily close the discussion.

Each project page has its own discussion section designed for exchanging opinions and suggestions for improving the article. This is a space for constructive dialogue, clarification, and collaborative search for solutions. If you are unsure of the wording or accuracy of a fact, discuss it with other participants before making changes. The main rule of discussion is respect for others, reasoned arguments, and a willingness to hear each other's point of view. The goal is not to argue for the sake of arguing, but to jointly create reliable and high-quality content.

Member Pages

Member pages on the site serve several important functions:

Providing information about yourself. On these pages, you can share information about yourself, including contact information, interests related to the project, and highlight your contribution to the community.
Simplify communication. A personal page helps other participants better understand your interests and role within the project, facilitating more productive interactions.
Organize notes and ideas. This is a practical tool for storing personal notes or working on project materials, preventing clutter on the main platform content.

Each registered user has their own member page where they can share information about themselves, their interests, languages, favorite TV series, and activities. This information helps other members understand the context of your edits and interests. Only information relevant to their work on the site can be posted on the member page. Posting personal information (addresses, phone numbers, social media profiles) is not recommended. By posting information on their page, the user confirms that they are doing so voluntarily and understands that the member page is publicly accessible.

Specifying a WIKIS wallet address on the members page

Each registered user can post information about themselves and a link to their WIKIS wallet on their personal page.
The WIKIS wallet address is specified in the following format: "Cold wallet name (WIKIS): wallet address" (without quotation marks)
Example:

This entry with the user's WIKIS address is required for AirDrop and other rewards to active users. This line is optional, but if it is missing, tokens will not be credited.
Publishing a WIKIS wallet address is optional and is done by the user on their personal page. The administration is not responsible for wallet transactions made by third parties. To receive bonuses, you must participate in promotions and contests organized by the Wikiserial website administration ― Promotions.

The administration reserves the right to request supporting information if fraud is suspected. In case of repeated violations, bonuses will be cancelled, and the account may be blocked.

Abbreviations and abbreviations used on the site

Changes to these rules

These rules may be changed by the administration as the project develops.
This version comes into effect on January 27, 2026.

These rules govern user conduct solely within the wikiserial.org website. Unless a specific situation is covered by these rules, the administration is guided by the general principles of fairness and respect for users.
