Plot

A brief description of the events of the series

La Brea is a fascinating fantasy drama, in the center of which the destinies of people forced to survive in a parallel reality are intertwined.

It all begins with a tragedy: in the heart of Los Angeles, a huge funnel suddenly opens up, mercilessly swallowing everything around - cars, passers-by and entire families. Among the victims are the Harrises, who are separated by the disaster. Josh and his mother are transported to a mysterious and unknown primitive world, while Izzy and her father remain in the familiar, modern reality.

Most are sure that those who were taken by the funnel can never be brought back. However, the truth is much more incredible: they survived. Having come to their senses among the debris and chaos, people discover a mysterious world isolated from civilization. There is no connection, phones are useless, and the surrounding silence is broken only by living nature - unfamiliar and dangerous.

The new world is full of challenges: unknown predators and unusual vegetation threaten every step. Everything around seems untouched by man, and nature itself seems to emphasize that here man is only a guest who has intruded into the kingdom of ancient forces.

• The beginning (approximately 3 minutes) of episode 2 of season 2 of the series has a significant similarity with the first frames of episode 1 of season 1 of the series "Game of Thrones": the opening of the rising gates to the city, the sound of their rise, the setting - everything is very similar.
